It supports local growers as well as local chefs/cooks and artisans. There is usually entertainment as well as a diverse population which attends the market. The food is fresh, reasonably priced, and delicious. It is also just minutes from my house.

Ethnically diverse foods, and it accepts EBT, and offers nutrition education and fun kids activities!

They provide high quality foods to low income families and residents of City Heights. They even take food stamps! They're really amazing!

Not just awesome produce, good food and crafts, but this market provides resources to the community as well! Free bike repair, seed swaps, tamales contests and cash incentives to eat fruits and veggies!!!! What could be better??
