Out of all the farmer's markets in our county that I have been to, the Ojai market is my favorite. While it is mostly the same vendors that you can find in downtown Ventura and elsewhere, everyone just seems so much more cheerful in Ojai. It's got a great vibe. Everyone's ready to talk about their products and share tips (thanks for the egg tip Sprouts Man!), and you just can't beat the band and the fellow giving free hugs. I love the Ojai Market so much. It's definitely worth the drive up from the coast.

Good food. Lots of it organic (produce and meat). Wonderful place to see people from the community. And, it's good to think that the farmers make most of the money - cutting out the middle man.

I love going to the Ojai farmer's market!!!!! I have a chance to support our local farmers and merchants, see all my friends, make new friends, eat healthier, educate my son about the benefits of being healthy and social, try unique foods, listen to great local country music, get outside and breathe the fresh air....and it's so close I can ride my bike. Life doesn't get any better!

For the size of our valley, our farmers market has and incredible diversity of produce and artisanal food products. We have a bluegrass band that rocks, and some real rock-star organic farmers. It is a vibrant social scene that I try to never miss.

As a farmer who has participated in the Ojai Farmer's Market since it's inception, I feel as though we have a very special treat in Ojai. There is always a great selection of the freshest harvest and a nice mix of large and small farmers who provide food and entertainment for this discerning Ojai community and visitors to the city.

Our Sunday morning market is a friendly, social gathering place with lots of variety. Rain or shine our vendors show up with fresh, local fruits, veggies, nuts, olive oil, cheeses, baked goods, fresh fish, flowers, eggs and local honey. Cindy Mullins

The market manager does a really good job of balancing the needs of the vendors to have not too much competition, so they can make money, and the needs of the customers - to have a good variety of high quality produce to choose from, and to be able to shop among vendors for any given item. For such a small town it's a real scene and a lot of fun.
