We tryed selling our prepared food here and its so bad ( not our food) we can't go back. Not a lot of people are showing up and there are very few vendors. Not sure what happened since last year but this is a losing proposition for us and others obviously. I'm noticing this with many of the farmers markets this year. No crowds mean no sales. Too bad because the folks that run this are very nice and extremely helpful.

It is a wonderful market. It really brings the community together. You get to purchase healthy food and socialize at the same time.

The produce is great. It is like getting it delivered right to your door. It is a great way for the Clara Barton community to get together and to show others what we are all about. Edison is a great place to live....

ThereÂ?s no tomato like a Jersey tomato! And thereÂ?s no Jersey tomato like one freshly picked from a Jersey farm! That goes for all the other delicious fruits and vegetables and herbs offered at the Edison Farmers Market as well. The freshly baked goodies, the flowers, the pickles and other culinary treats ---all add to the charm of this community event. Great location, convenient Sunday hours, friendly conversation --- what a delight!

Thank you Edison for this wonderful market! Liked Provident Bank location better but this works. Wonderful to see the community come together to support this town/neighborhood project every Sunday. The Market Manager is an absolute delight. I don't understand why it took so long to get this typeof market to come to Edison sure glad it is here and hope its around for a many years.

Good varieties and selections of NJ-grown produce. Hoboken Farms provides good meats, fish and pasta. I like the Pickle vendor, also. The Edison NPP also assists local senior citizens to obtain vouchers for use at Farmers Markets across NJ, including Edison. Though great, the Edison Farmers Market is the only one with hours on Sunday in Middlesex County. There are a number of other Farmers Markets open on Sunday throughout NJ. I like the organic soaps, fragrances and cleaning products provided by Absolute Green. The Edison Farmers Market is sited in a good location in the Clara Barton section of Edison, near stores and restaurants.

Farmers at the Market were very pleasant. You can tell they love what they do and are proud of their produce-worth the extra few pennies to buy healthy and local. With more variety than the regular selection of veggies at the supermarkets, it's good to find fresh fruits and greens that take longer to mature, and have actual "flavor", unlike many items that have been mass produced and distributed from all over the world, many having lost their taste and perhaps their nutritional value in the lengthy voyage. Edison Farmers Market is good in many aspects, offering a healthy alternative to what most of us have grown accustomed to, but isn't necessarily in our best health interests.

Following a 28-year absence from the Edison, NJ community, the current Edison Farmers Market was established last year (2008), as an initiative of the Clara Barton Amboy Avenue Neighborhood Preservation Program (CBAA NPP). It is the only Jersey Fresh Farmers Market in the state with Sunday hours (8:00 AM - 2:00 PM). Starting with seven vendors last year (2008), the Edison Farmers Market has grown by 30% to ten (10) vendors this year (2009), with 500+ visitors each Sunday, from June to October. Emphasizing "Buy Local", the Edison Farmers Market offers Jersey Fresh Produce and Goods, including: Fruits & Vegetables; Nuts, Seeds & Nut/Seed Products; Baked Goods; Pickles & Pickle Products; Healthy Meats & Seafoods; Cheeses; Plants & Flowers; Organic Soaps, Household Cleaning Products & Fragrances. It has been noted that more visitors to the Edison Farmers Market walk than drive to the event each Sunday. In addition to a plein-aire event, it offers a venue at which neighbors and visitors meet and speak with each other on a variety of community-based subjects. The Coordinator of the CBAA NPP, as well as CBAA NPP volunteer members attend the Edison Farmers Market as volunteer facilitators, as well as to provide information on other local, community events, activities, initiatives, services and businesses. The CBAA NPP and the Township of Edison are jointly working to develop grant proposals to obtain funding for the development and implementation of marketing strategies to increase vendor and visitor participation at the Edison Farmers Market.
