I love the ethnic flavor of our local market, and it is really pleasant to shop and then be with friends in the downtown Plaza. Paradise!

It is small and tends toward commercial produce which I am hoping will change if more folks ask for organic and transition foods. For the positive, it's filled with festive vibes, ethnic culture is present, it's meeting a need for a close by alternate to regular grocery stores. I like it enough to walk there. That's saying quite a bit. I hope to see it grow.

Besides the regular fare of tomatoes and lettuce, our Watsonville Market has great ethnic selections for Mexican and Asian cuisine. And, we have food booths that are crowded with customers for the best--and cheapest--take-out foods. You also get the entertainment from First Fridays right next door for free. It's the best way to spend time on Fridays in Watsonville.
