The first time we had pizza at Fair Meadow Bakes, I knew this was not the average fast-food experience. We threw a blanket down on the grass, pulled up our cooler of beverages that we brought, and enjoyed the atmosphere, the pizza, and the company. Jay and Pat make you feel at home, actually demanding you make yourself at home by relaxing and enjoying the "slow-food" experience. The pizza is like NONE-OTHER and you'll want to book another appointment before you even leave the first time! It's worth the drive, the time, and the energy to spend with these folks at their Fair Meadow. Fresh, local ingredients used, and you can taste the goodness and love they put into their products. Pick up some bread while you're there or find them at the farmers' markets in Stanly County, too.

We were invited by Mount Pleasant area friends to go for a Friday night pizza last summer. We thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We felt so welcome and the pizzas were excellent with fresh ingredients. It was a very relaxed evening with good conversation. We plan to share this info. with members of our Mount Pleasant church and possibly attend for an evening together.

Last year, some friends invited us to Friday Night Pizza at Fair Meadow Bakes; what a great atmosphere, terrific food (most of it locally sourced)! We had a great time - can't wait to go back!

Organic flours, relaxing setting, wood burning oven, good folks, good food. The breads and pizza are the best to be found in this area. Their Friday Night Pizza is very unique and the events they have held in the pavilion are top notch! Try them, you will be glad you did!
