Just spoke to one of the family's farmers today at drop-off. These individuals appear to have integrity... Something sorely lacking from our entire food-chain (and society). While the term "industrial organic" does sound like a blatant attempt at marketing, it also seems consistent with my own research: most "Organic" food is really not* organic in any sense of the word. For example much of our USDA organic food is grown under entirely synthetic light, oftentimes now without soil [hydroponics], and fed exclusively grains cultivated under similar conditions. Somehow that meets the USDA qualifications for "Organic". They say >95% or more of the ingredients are organic, and these certifiers are so diligent, but what is preventing multinational corporations like Monsanto from buying out the certifiers or the USDA? In fact there is quite a bit of preliminary evidence to suggest the USDA was already bought out... but that is another story. The solution is local farmers and CSA's.

I just used their drop point service to purchase raw milk from them for the first time this week. I live out in Yardley, so driving to the farm is not convenient. I also had only one other source for raw milk out here and I didn't like the taste very much at all. From the time I submitted my order for raw milk, every interaction has been a complete joy. Edwin is very friendly, helpful, approachable, knowledgeable, and clearly loves what he does. The milk is delicious - the closest I have found to what I used to drink at my cousin's dairy farm in VT years ago. The prices are very competitive and the delivery service is seamless. I highly recommend this farm!!!

I just discovered The Family Cow and made my first purchase a week ago. They are the most friendly and helpful people you'll ever encounter, and the food quality is top notch.

I've been buying pastured beef online (from Texas, because I wasn't aware of closer sources) since the beginning of 2010, and buying from The Family Cow is not only a big savings, it's an improvement in quality and convenience. Like a previous reviewer said, it's a privilege to support this local farm. If you're interested in feeding your family the highest quality food you can find without breaking the bank, you can't go wrong with The Family Cow.

i appreciate the owners willingness to answer questions and share their knowledge. i had several questions regarding raw milk and organic/ natural meats and he was most helpful. it is a priviledge to support our local farmers that are growing vegetables, fruits, and animals naturally.
