I have always been a milk drinker. It's very difficult for me to eat a meal without milk. As I have aged it has become increasingly difficult for me to drink milk from the store. I had tummy troubles and my doctor diagnosed lactose intolerance. I have muscular dystrophy and was diagnosed with bile duct cancer last summer. A church member had found Windsweep Farm and highly recommended the raw milk. I did some research and decided if I could tolerate it well, the nutrition would be a benefit and I would be able to have cold milk again. The milk has surpassed anything I could have hoped for! I tolerate it well, it sits well with my meals and no gas, bloating or diarrhea. I was cautioned against raw milk due to my compromised immune system. I have found Renee's policies and procedures regarding the processing and storage of the milk to be impeccable. We hope to visit the farm and purchase their other products. I'm 60 and my husband and I are both disabled. The milk is delivered near us.

We are just getting started buying locally with our main foods. The beef from Renee is wonderful. My family could really taste the difference from the store bought. It is great to know we have this option locally. Thanks Renee for offering your beef!

It's so wonderful to have a local source for pastured meat and raw milk! I had searched for months and the closest thing I found was at least an hour away. That's a long trip with 2 little ones, so I was resigned to be content with just an occasional visit. The other night I was searching Local Harvest again and noticed Windsweep Farm in Dixon! I emailed Renee and she very promptly responded. Today we made our first trip to the farm and purchased 2 gallons of milk, a pint of maple syrup, and put a reserve on a quarter of beef. It was a great experience and good for my children to be able to see where their food comes from!

The milk is absolutely delicious, and I can't wait to try the beef as well. The Dixon area is very fortunate to have Windsweep Farm!

I need to update my review to comment on the meat. We purchased a beef quarter in late March and have been enjoying it ever since. I was warned that grass fed beef doesn't taste as good as corn fed, but that hasn't been my experience at all. This is the best beef I've ever tasted. We've had a summer of the best hamburgers and steaks ever. We'll be ordering again. Highly recommended.
