Just purchased my first basket from the Walker Farms at the Rensselaer Farmers' Market. The Walkers are friendly people and their produce is great. I'm hoping to be able to buy a full share for the 2012 season. :) Sharon

This is my first year using a CSA. I've always just bought my produce from the grocery store. Over the past few years my wife and I have noticed the quality of the grocery store produce has declined drastically! I planted a small garden this year, but with a growing family of 5 it wasn't going to be enough.

I used the LocalHarvest website and found Walker Farms. They are located in the same county as where we live and found their CSA approach very friendly. We've already picked-up produce over the past few weekends and have been very happy with the quality.

My family and I are excited to see how the produce turns out this year from Walker Farms. But so far Scott and Stacy have been great! We're also looking forward to their next open house so that my girls can see where the produce is coming from.

thanks for this review -- we have 4 young children and had a crummy experience with a CSA last year, and while we do have a garden as well, I'd love to help out local farmers as well as expand our fruit/veggie knowledge while maintaining the "normal" produce...... do they include the typical produce in their offering?? My kids are willing to try new things, but they like the noraml carrots, celery, apples, melon, berries.....blah, blah, blah.....
