We've been subscribers to the Farm to Family CSA for about 3 years, every other week in the winter and every week in the summer. We get the full subscription - vegetables, fruit, dairy, meat, eggs and bread. In the summer, it's about 90% of what we (there are two of us) eat. And if Mark can find a secret citrus farm in Virginia, we may be able to get the percentage up even higher!

The produce is amazing and amazingly clean. There is a nice variety and we've never felt like we were drowning in a particular vegetable, like we have with other CSAs.

With CSAs you are meant to have a "share" in a farm and the amount of food you receive depends on how the farm is doing that season. However, F2F is a co-op or some sort of group of farms. I don't know if it is how the CSA is managed or if the farms have only had good seasons but our shares have always been great. Even in the tough months, like Feb, the share gets rounded out with things like polenta, jam, syrup, grits, etc.

We've been customers and CSA members at Farm 2 Family for several seasons now. Suzi & Mark are just great. They know their products & are always happy to answer questions. They're personable and their store is welcoming & family-friendly. As a family we feel good supporting a local business that in turn supports local farmers, artist & craftsmen.

Suzi and Mark Lilly are very nice and very helpful. Their knowledge of the products that they bring to us and their product mix are good. Their regular CSA share options are all quite generous and they are able to add extra products that round out the pantry.
