Portland Green Parenting is great. You can save quite a bit of money on really great, healthy food, mostly local. PGP often sources directly from producers.

We love being a part of PGP food buying. As a family we save money and still get the best organic produce and organic groceries. The best part is it has cut down our trips to the grocery store... therefore saving us way more money on non needed impulse buys! PGP is also a great community of people willing to trade, share, listen, and help!

this coop has extremely high standards for its purchases. all the food we have obtained through this coop has been of very high quality, fresh, pure, and as local as possible. best yet, the prices are at --or just above-- wholesale prices. the portland green parenting food coop has allowed our family to eat 100% organic, mostly local, and better-quality in general. while group buying always requires some flexibility, we now have affordable sources for food that was previously only for special occasions: raw milk, organic staple foods, organic cranberries for thanksgiving dinner, grass-fed meat, bulk organic and local produce for canning -- and even seafood! -- while maintaining the same food budget. plus, the foodies on the online forum are always there with new ideas and helpful hints. beats the grocery store hands-down!
