We recently purchased our first half-pig from Straitgate Farm (Holly & John) and we thought it would be incredible, & delicious, as we have had organically raised pork in the past, however, this was the absolute BEST pork ever !!!! The bacon, chops, roasts, simply excellent ! We feel so wonderful knowing that these animals are humanly raised, and they have a wonderful life, great food , great environment ! It does translate in the small and the big picture !! We're very thankful for the blessing of John & Holly and Straitgate Farm !! We will be purchasing all products possible from them from now on !

I have made several trips to Branchport to pick up my poultry and goat meat at Strait Gate Farm. I am glad to know the farmer who raises this meat. I would highly recommend Strait Gate Farm to everyone concerned about where their food comes from. The meat not only tastes good, but I'm certain the nutrition is above comparison to what you would get at any food chain store. I couldn't be more pleased.

We ordered a half pig for our daughter's wedding reception. Holly was helpful every step of the way, from helping me decide to order 3/4 for the roast and 1/4 for me and how to have it cut. She had clear communications in her emails and was extremely dependable. She picked up the pig and held it in her refrigerator for us until we could pick it up. The meat itself was delicious and tender. We received many compliments. I would recommend working with Holly for any of your local needs.

We have recently purchased 1/2 a pig from John & Holly and cannot say enough about how wonderful it tastes. This is our second 1/2 pig purchase from them and both times the meat was all processed well and wrapped just like I would have done it. Our children are eagerly awaiting Easter when we will prepare another fresh ham. Holly shared one of her favorite family recipes with us and the flavor cannot be beat. I have talked with friends about their farm and have highly recommended them.

My wife and I stopped in to Strait Gate Farm to buy some fresh eggs. We met Holly and John and they mentioned that they also sell chicken and pork. We thought we would start with the chicken and ordered five chickens. The chickens we received were the most moist, best tasting chicken we had ever eaten. Since the chicken was so good, we decided to order a half a pig.The pork came incredibly wrapped and marked and we are enjoying it as much as the chicken. No more store bought chicken or pork for us. We regularly stop in to buy eggs and also enjoy the garlic they sell. An added bonus to the great meat and eggs is that Holly and John are two of the nicest people you would want to meet and do busniess with.
