The amazing amount and variety of produce is phenomenal. And every vendor knows your name, knows what you love, and even will save something special for you if you had talked about it the week before. The Healdsburg Farmers Market is what 'community', and family is all about!

The people. The variety. The surprises--music, demonstrations, flowers and crafts, even some folks dancing this week! And the market director, Mary Kelley, is the best.

I support the local growers who want to make our homes and restaurants a better, healthier way of eating. I support that a wonderful town such as Healdsburg can get together twice a week and visit with each other and support the growers and build relationships with them.

The market provides a unique community venue. You can enjoy local, fresh produce and goods, visit with your neighbors, get advice from Master Gardeners and listen to live music -- all within minutes from home. It's a valuable resource and just the right size for our town.

Superior quality very local produce from small farmers. Not just shopping, but a community social event every Saturday morning. Tuesday afternoon the market is held on the Healdsburg Plaza, followed by a free concert. What more could you ask for?

I grew up on a prune/peach/walnut/sheep/chicken ranch south of San Jose and miss the connection to the farmers. This farmer's market encourages people of all backgrounds to learn how the produce/products are created and the many ways to apply them. I love it so much, I volunteer on Saturdays! Keep up the great work.

I am so grateful that my sister and nieces treasure this farmers' market so tremendously; that it augments their shared sense of finding home through the community they enjoy in Healdsburg in what has been a very challenging several years for them. The handcrafted soaps and fresh organic produce nurture their efforts at healthful living. My mother and I will join them at a Healdsburg certified farmers' market next month!

I can walk in with a $20 bill, and walk out with an arm-full of flowers, fresh beautiful beets, some handmade meats, and several other veggies I'm in the mood for. The location, the people, the music, the food, my family and gorgeous Healdsburg weather; what more could I ask for?

I like selling my black mission figs, French prunes, and fuyu persimmons at the market. I like the variety of produce, olive oil, pasture raised beef, wild salmon, goat cheese, and bread that I can purchase from local farmers and vendors.

The Market has been in existence for over 30 years, and has stayed true to its character and intent -- to be a place where local producers can sell their wares. It has also been a great source of Locavore education -- helping people to learn about and understand the benefits of growing and eating that which has been produced locally. It's a fantastic place to be every Saturday morning, and Tuesday evening!

For many years, I drove from Santa Rosa to the Healdsburg Farmers" Market. The wonderful produce, most of it local, the amazing flowers, the cheese, the fish, the eggs.........it's all so fabulous. One Saturday I followed Alice Waters around the market and she marvelled at things there that she had never seen before. I think that says a lot. The people are also such an important part of the market. I love the Healdsburg Farmers' Market.

Almost all of our vendors are Healdsburg locals and are selling fantastic and intriguing product as well as household staples. The rise in availability of farm-fresh eggs has almost everyone I know buying eggs from chickens whose names the know!

Even before we moved to Healdsburg, we came to the market almost every weekend -- for the produce, for the people, for the autumn crafts markets, for the pumpkin and zucchini festivals, for the market birthday and the lavender festival. I've been a customer, a vendor and a volunteer, and it's the best.

The variety is so impressive. And most of the vegetables come from people in our very own town. We have an incredible garlic grower who can tell you about the tiniest subtleties in garlic flavor that make huge differences in the taste of the dish. And we have olive growers who make oil right here. And there is always live music. And a booth full of smart gardeners, ready to help you with your questions. And the head of the market, Mary, is so friendly and enthusiastic.
