We are counting the days until we pick up our Village Farm seedlings in early May and our first CSA vegetables and herbs the beginning of June! This is our fourth year as CSA members and what this membership has brought has exceeded all expectations - wonderfully healthy, beautiful and delicious diverse vegetables and herbs, eaten in season, and within hours of picking; the joy of attending pot luck dinners or farm tours and occasional opportunities to help with farm chores with a community of people who appreciate having a local farm in their midst; and the realization (through Polly and Prentice's careful bookkeeping) that all of this wonderful produce costs us less - overall - than it would cost if we bought the same produce from local grocery stores. In addition to our CSA, we enjoy chickens, beef, eggs and flowers from Village Farm. It is hard to put in writing how delicious their meat and dairy products are; I will just say there is no comparison to what you can buy in your local grocery story. You have to try it to see for yourself!

Our family is so fortunate to have a CSA share at Village Farm. We look forward to our Tuesday pick-up at the farm all week long. The vegetables are amazing - big, beautiful, plentiful and so, so delicious! It is wonderful to receive vegetables that we know and love (tomatoes, corn, potatoes, carrots, an amazing assortment of greens, and so much more), and also some new ones to try out now and then (last season I got to know fennel - a new one for our fridge).
The beef, pork, and chickens that we have gotten from VF don't even compare to what you can buy at the supermarket. The meat is all mouth-watering good. I will never go back to store-bought.
There is nothing better for us all than fresh, local, organic veggies and meat - that's why we love Village Farm!
