I love how I can get all I need for a great dinner at the Davis Sq. market. There's greens, beef, cheese, and bread. It's also close to Dave's fresh pasta, which is just icing on the cake.

A really fantastic community of farmers, vendors, and people looking for the freshest and most sustainable food out there. The Davis Square market gives me hope that local farmers can offer us new ways to shop, eat, and live.

local, varied and necessary. It's on the smaller side and could use a boost. the lot fee went up this year and it would benefit from any help it could get!

Convenient location, great variety of vegetables, fruits, herbs, and even bread, cheese, and flowers. All the vendors are really friendly. It's rare for me to miss going each Wednesday; I love having easy access to good quality organic produce from local farms!

It's got great vendors, who are all friendly and helpful; in a great location close to work, home, and the T; carries everything - meat, cheese, veg, bread, chocolate; and it's all local!

Abundance of items; farmers willing to discuss their wares and explain unusual offerings, clean and attractive.

They are open sooner & later than most markets in the Boston area. They have a goodly number & variety of vendors.

I love the variety of products- last time I bought Bluefish dip, fresh mozzarella, basil, burger patties, chocolate, and a baguette! So yummy. Even in the dismal weather, everyone was in good spirits!

The farmers are easy going, they like kids (my kid, specifically), answer questions and offer high quality produce. All around good value for your money. And everyone seems so happy, even in the rain!

It's impossible to pick favorites when you work in the farmers market world as I do, but Davis is the market I miss the most in the off-season! The diversity of products: meat, bread, veggies, flowers, and fruit, both organic and conventional, plus the amazing community-centered vibe, keep me coming back even now that I have relocated my home to Harvard Square.

in 1979 i organised the first somerville farmers market, originally in union square, somerville. i met my husband doing this. after i left, the market was continued thanks to one dedicated person and moved to the current spot in Davis Square. every year there is something new as well as the farmers we've come to love. no matter where i've lived i always travel to my old somerville farmers market on summer wednesdays!

the produce looks just as good at 5pm as it does at the beginning of the day and even near the end, they have a great selection!

Well-organized, good selection, very easy to get to on public transportation! Lots of organic or low-spray produce, grass-fed humanely slaughtered lamb and beef, goat cheese. I can eat local all spring and summer.

As a former vendor, I appreciate it when the veggies look just as good at 5pm as when the market first opens. Plus, it's so close to my house, and so much better than the lousy supermarkets. Salad greens last twice as long when you buy them FRESH. Only drawback, no kohlrabi?!!!
