The market is an ongoing gauge of the many efforts to encourage a local food system in Willits. Both the number of vendors and customers has more than doubled in the last couple of years. Funding was received to keep the market going during this last winter and drew many people. Local beef and fish are available all year round and lamb seasonally. Fresh wheat, triticale and rye are also now available and we are able to serve food stamp customers. Our farmers market is a precious community resource, one that provides us with delicious fresh food, local crafts, music, and a community gathering place.

We love the fresh, wholesome food, the wonderful local farmers, and the sense of community.

Because I LIVE in Willits ... for me, it is the best source of local, nutritous food.

The only one we have and it is mostly organic with local produce and all kinds of food starts and many products which you may sample and it is weekly outside in the Bud Snider Park and it is where the locals meet, too...

Magnificent fresh foods, the best peaches I EVER ate, lovely local goats cheese, lots of plants; we have wonderful musicians playing, and this all takes place in a great, shady park. A great place to meet friends, make new friends, and engender community spirit.
