I also never knew there were so many varieties of garlic. The woman who runs this farm has over 32 kinds, passed on from generations. She is very knowledgeable and also grows some vegetables.

I never knew how much I loved garlic until I started to eat the delicious varieties offered by Plum Granny Farm. My favorite by far are the Lutz Family Italian (I can eat a BULB a day of this stuff) which tastes like butter when baked/roasted and the Persian Star (which is a beautiful purple color). I highly recommend this farm, especially for those in the Winston-Salem area. It's a very short drive to their pick-your-own raspberries and they have their produce at two wonderful farmer's markets. So delicious!
