We haqve many organic farmers and most booths offer tastes of their food prior to buying. The food is 100% better than store-bought, including Whole Foods and other green oriented markets.

I have been a shopper here for many years. I have made freinds of the vendors and am on first name basis with them now. It's like buying groceries from your friends. Local FRESH produce, cheese, meat, and seafood because we are so close to the coast, it's the best! The vendors are here rain or shine year round and so am I. You can't get better, fresher ingredients for your meals than right here at the Farmers Market!

It's become a Sunday ritual. Grab some coffee and a pastry, watch my daughter jump in the jumpy castles, then walk row by row, tasting, smelling, eating. I always come home with bag full of delicious food and beautiful flowers!

The racial diversity, and trans-generational presence and the good "vibs" makes my Sunday morning farmer's market shopping experience a very special celebrational event less formal and more fun than a Church service.

This expansive market offers a great variety produce, meat, eggs, fish, and plants. Additionally, there is a wealth of delicious prepared foods, entertainment, and comfortable areas to sit and relax and eat. While it is huge, it has a low-key feel, and if you're a repeat shopper, the farmers will recognize you. A feel-good way to start a Sunday.

Wonderful, fresh, organic food; dedicated, passionate vendors including at least one bio-dynamic grower; great atmosphere in a pretty setting and lots of parking.

For 20 years I made a weekly visit to one farmers market or another in the BayArea which spoiled me for life. Living in Portland OR for the past year I have been continually disappointed with the limited number of organic growers in the seasonal markets as well as the comparatively poorer quality and ripeness of the produce here.

The Marin Civic Ctr. FM has wonderful local growers with organic produce, yummy cooked food, lots of people to meet locally and the growers are very open and excited to share their wisdom. The produce is wonderful and particularly berry season, peach and nectarine season excites me. There is someone there I refer to as the "bean man" who sells nothing but beans and they are the best I've ever had - fava beans, string beans and so much more. This place is amazing and would truly be missed if it failed to exist. I love it!

They have a strawberry ice, that is really tasty. Served in a small transparent cup, it's made with strawberries, frozen mix of water and milk, or it might have just been frozen milk, I can't tell. They have roasted pepper, onions and other vegetables, the aroma fills the air. The bakery from Point Reyes Area, has great buns and breads. Wonderful mixes of assorted fruits and vegetables are there. Along with lots of crafts, plus fragrant oils, strawberry, coconut, almond. They are a great place to visit and gather some goodies to take home.

I love this market! They have such variety: from freshly made waffles and chai, to the live music and even amazing afghan food, plus all the local and organic fruits and vegetables you'd expect, from lots of different vendors, all fresh and delicious! It's a fantastic place, I'd highly reccomend it!!

I love the year-round selection of fresh, organic fruits and vegetables from all over central and northern California (and at affordable prices). There are over 50 farmers there, so there are many things to choose from. There are fun things for the kids to do as well (and I have two under 4), including pony rides, puppet shows, storytime provided my Marin mobile library, and more. It's just another reason we love living in Marin!

I love to stroll through the lanes at the market and take in the amazing display of colors from fruits, vegetables, flowers and sweets. I love to see the interaction of ladies in their straw hats, Dad's pushing or holding toddlers while they enjoy homemade belgin waffles with powedered surgar floating off onto their shirts. I love knowing that items are fresh, planted with love and care and are organic. I love that I can support home grown from the counties I either live in or are close to. Eveyone is always happy at the Markets enjoying choosing their favorite type of green bean, tasting the juicy fruits before making their selection and connecting while listening to music in the background.

It's an amazing experience from both a foodie standpoint and as a community meeting place. If you haven't been, you are truly missing out on what makes Marin a special hub of agriculture, food and friendly locals. You'll support the farmers, while getting to know themÂ?and getting yourself some amazing produce, meats and more.

It is the "serious" grocery-shopper's farmers' market. It has music, jewelry/clothes/pottery, ready-cooked foods, and many other delightful distractions; however, it focuses on a wide variety of local farmers' and ranchers' produce to fill my kitchen every week.

Exceedingly friendly, enlightened and knowledgeable vendors; delectable prepared foods (the full sweep from ethnic to good old All-American country); an amazing array of bakeries; chocolatiers; creative craft people; sustainable seafood, free range meat, chicken, and eggs. I look forward to my Sunday shopping at the Marin Farmers Market with its high quality goods, exceptional setting combining a stunning landmark building (the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Marin County Civic Center), park, ponds and streams. I go every Sunday, rain or shine, Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.

This is known as the best in the Bay Area. Big, year-round, 2 days a week, lots of organic produce, the best stone fruit & berries, a long bakers' row, crafts, 2 jumpy-things for kids, fresh fish & meat, dozens of gourmet prepared-food vendors, two live music spots... I'd be surprised if anywhere could top this.

It is one of the oldest in the country and served as a model for all the others. The farmers love to come to this one, even more than the S.F. Ferry Building. I have been going for over 25 years, raised my kids and now my grand-children on it and so many of the farmers are now friends.

This farmer's market takes place on thrusdays and sundays. The sunday market is the biggest I've ever seen! Not only do they have a huge selection of organic and no-spray fruits and veggies, they have local cheeses, meats, eggs, flowers, seedlings, soaps, breads and more! We are so lucky here. California has an enormous selection of fruits and vegetables. Some of them I've never heard of. My favorite strawberry farmer even told me when to come back to get the best berries for making jam!

Both the Sunday and Thursday markets are where I buy the bulk of my family's food and where I always see my friends: parents from the current schools my kids attend and former preschool pals, neighbors, and vendor/farmers who have become friends over the 15 years that I have been a part of this community. In that time my son has started working for one of the farmers on the weekends and now even takes the ferry into the city and has worked the Ferry Building market as well. This is a market with a diverse mix of vendors and products as well as a consistent core group that I count on season after season to provide the delicious produce and nourishment for my family and community.
