We have been part of the Greene CSA for the past two years. We love that we have fresh local food that grows in our neighborhood.

We have enjoyed the fresh lettuce, kale, squash, kolrabi, broccoli, cucumber, beets, radishes, parsnips, eggplants, onions, garlic, a variety of fresh herbs, and the tomatoes are incredible. We have tried many new and delicious vegetables since we joined the CSA.

We have young children and the owner of the CSA will often show them how the food has been grown and at times will let them pick some of the vegetables. It is fun getting to know the people who grow your food.

The owner is open to your feedback for personal requests.

I have never done a CSA before and this one was a gift from my fiance. Every week we got a basket about the size of a case of beer filled with different vegetables. Typically we get things we would not normally buy which is nice because it makes me learn to cook more things. I used this CSA with a diet and lost 50 pounds over the course of several months. Certainly knowing that I have a whole basket of items to use I rarely went to the grocery store (to buy meat). The owner was very flexible on when I could pick up the basket and sometimes if he was running errands he would drop it off at my house. Which was very nice.

My minor dislike was no fruits, but I was never promised them nor does it affect my opinion of the CSA.

My other dislike is that it does not go all year, but again it does not affect my opinion of the service I got.

I am happy that this year there is a Poultry Option so I can get eggs and chicken at a great price that is raised by the owner.

If you have never had a CSA I recomend it as it's a great was to get affordable food that is good for you.
