The Fairfield Market farmers and vendors whom I have met are pure of heart with good-intentions, experienced and hard working, and in various degrees they are friendly.

There is so much diversity amoung the produce, crafts, baked goods, customers and venders. There is always a festive atmosphere and music to sooth the soul.

I love the fresh food sold at Howard Park on Wenesdays and Saturdays. The shoppers and venders are friendly and interesting and healthy.The Music is excellent. Its a 5-star market with great views for the whole family.

A great social event every week with organic food, handmade jewelry, and wonderful people!

I support all of the local growers and bakers for bringing the highest quality of fresh products to a lovely park setting and selling them with a smile on their face and friendly conversation. It just makes my day go better after attending the local farmers market.

Everyone is friendly, and there is lots of selection. They always have entertainment on Saturdays, including a Maypole Dance in the spring. I'm so happy this Farmer's Market has something for kids and adults!

It's the freshest food around and there are lots of value added items as well. I also love that craft people come and in the spring there are garden items.

Our family supports our local farmers so they can continue to grow healthy organic non-gmo food. The future of our food supply is at stake with industrial farming and companies like Monsanto patenting seeds. It's time for people to send a message and put their dollars where it counts into our local economy. Not to mention the tremendous energy savings by buying local. Why buy an apple that has been transported from outside our country when we have family farms struggling right here in our community to make ends meet? Buy from our local farmers and help support a sustainable future.

Our farmers' market is a community event, in the truest most essential meaning of the word! Our family loves walking there twice a week to enjoy other families, farmers, local veggies, nibble on the baked goods, drink fresh juice, listen to music, browse the handmade crafts. Everything offered is local and sustainable and shopping there not only offers the best source of fresh food outside of our own garden, it also supports and strengthens our local economy - and it's fun! It is one of our favorite events and Fairfield wouldn't be the same without it.

Organic, Amish and eclectic! I stop by every week to pick up our abundant CSA share.

Fairfield's Farmer's Market is something I look forward to attending every week. There is a large selection of homemade goodies including clothes, desserts, hot food and my personal favorite, Kate's Crepe stand. The park is lively with families brought together by the delicious food and rhythm of live music. Please check us out!

Because I traveled through Fairfield with Congressman Dennis Kucinich on his 2004 Presidential campaign. I am very impressed with the high level of involvement in peace, justice and environmental projects there.

Each vendor actually cares about his or her products and about satisfying the customers. Also, we can totally trust that each one provides truly organic produce and grass-fed meats. Also, the outdoor entertainment is always such fun. And, it is an amazing greeting and gathering place for communing with our fellow citizens, two times a week!

They have fresh produce locally raised giving a nearly zero carbon footprint.It is fun to go out on a Saturday AM & see what is available. They have a Native American Drum Maker there that actually makes his own drums that are for sale as well!!! A rockin' place!!

Fairfield Farmers' Market supports local fresh produce, fresh baked items, and local artists and crafts. It's a great family gathering every week, with our children enjoying fresh cooked meals from all over the world (we have an international range of students' that offer their own country's special dishes) at the Market stands and lots of community interaction with all our neighbors.

There is special feeling there. The food is pure, and it's a nice way for community members to gather.

I love this market because everyone is there selling from the Amish to the students from the University and the farmers wife with her baked goods or freshly grown vegetables. Also local artist with their art and often different entertainers from rock to folk to country to make our shopping experience even more entertaining!

The Farmer's Market is a staple of Fairfield life. Veggies, music, friends, organic, healthy, REAL food shared and enjoyed by the community.

They always have great entertainment, great fresh food, and a wonderful atmosphere. Its great to be able to connect to local farmers and friends and enjoy the bounty of Iowa all together. The baked goods and jams are fabulous as are the food stands- homemade sushi, crepes, etc. And I even found handmade jewelry there that I still have from four years ago. All in all it's always a fun time.

Everyone there is so excited bout creating a strong local harvest, they care bout helping support the amazing local economy.

Because nothing is so tasty as food picked that day, brought from just a few miles away! Plus local handmade gifts = win!

Because locally grown foods taste better, support our local economy, are organic, and cheaper than imports! It's a win-win-win situation: I win, the growers win, and the environment wins :-)

Good prices Pleasant setting to shop for edibles Food freshness guaranteed!! Compared to a chain grocery store, our Farmer's Market is far more connected to earth and living things. Alot of products in massive grocery stores are so processed/packaged/unrealistically labeled that the actual food value is out of sight (or nonexistent). I prefer the "back to basics" approach of Farmer's Market.

I really love to support the local economy. Supporting the local economy provides for a more sustainable local market, and does not require the use of transporting food from far away. The food is very fresh!

Fairfield farmer's market is in the center of town,near the town square and civic center, in a lovely park, lots of parking, easily reached by bike or on foot, a wide range of vendors, well attended. Best of all, it's a true community gathering place, where everybody is energized, proud and happy to be there, enjoying the wonderful selection of produce, cooking, music, crafts, the children running and playing, the park, the summer, and each other - the diverse collection of amazing people who come together every week.

Incredible organic produce selection compared to size of town. Great programs for children. concerts, farm tours, and many other activities available. Farmers come from as far as 40 miles. It's a great community get-together place.
