Our family started with Down to Earth a little over a year ago. Absolutely the best produce ever. Everything is very clean and orderly and Farmer Bob could not be any nicer. Everything we have had is extremely fresh and absolutely delish. At this moment I am patiently awaiting strawberry season and then tomato season.....oh heck they are all amazing! Give them a try, you will not be disappointed!

Prior to starting my CSA with Down to Earth I had been a CSA member at other farms. This by far has been my best experience! Each bundle is plentiful, has a big variety and allows me to make most of my meals plant based. I love that Bob and Amy gave suggestions for recipes for me to try. They are both so flexible with my schedule and I enjoy seeing their farm and family every time I pick up! I can't wait for this year!

Down to Earth Harvest is a fantastic CSA. Beautiful produce, friendly farmers. I have been a member of this CSA for 3 years and have been very happy. A great way to ensure fresh, local vegetables for your family. Plus fresh eggs available nearly every week for purchase. Join today!

This is the third CSA I have participated in and by far the best. My favorite vegetables were the carrots, pumpkins, and beets. I look forward to next year!

This was my first year participating in a CSA. It was a very positive experience. The produce was diverse and great quality. I look forward to the opportunity to receive high quality produce next season. I would highly recommend participating in a CSA so that you are able to enjoy great tasting produce that is grown by a local friendly and knowledgeable farmer. It is satisfying to be a part of helping the local farming industry.

This is our 2nd year with LocalHarvest and our 3rd year with a CSA. Robert and crew have been extremely easy and great to work with. We appreciate everything they do and recommend it to all of our friends!

This was my second year with DTEH, my 4th or 5th as a CSA member. I couldn't be more pleased. Robert is a great farmer, with a real knack for getting the combinations of tastes and beauty that make a CSA a wonderful deal. Recommendations: 1.) More either/or choices (take this OR that) to help accommodate differing tastes and sensitivities. 2.) Perhaps offering deliberately small heads of lettuce, cabbage, etc. for those who may not use it up fast enough. 3.) A listing/schedule on the website maybe once a month of what you expect to have coming up, and maybe even a comprehensive list (subject to change, of course!) of what you plan to plant. Helps with meal planning, and also longer-term purchases elsewhere. And builds anticipation too! Looking forward to 2015 and another great season.

Loved Down to Earth Harvest last year! We got an extended season half share for 2 of us. We received 3-4 big reusable grocery bags full of veggies every other week. It was a combination of summer staples we'd expect and a few (tasty) new things for us to try. The staff was super nice. One week the day got away from us and we forgot to pick up our share. No problem, they let us pick it up the next week and get 2 in a row. Veggies lasted for so long because they were so fresh! Everything was tasty, everyone was nice. We are sad to be moving this summer so we can't participate again.

We joined the CSA for a half-share in 2013, and will be signing up again in 2014. I loved the flexibility built into the buying options (we just wanted to try it out & the every-other-week option meant we could do that without investing a huge amount of $). It was also a great way to build another connection to our community, try new veggies, and eat better. Our veggies were fresh & we got a good variety. The eggs were so good too! Well worth it. There were other items to purchase, which was a nice option to have. The thing that really set our experience apart was the friendliness of Robert and Christian. Robert would great me (AND my kids) by name each time I picked up. That personal touch was very meaningful to me. I wholeheartedly support this CSA and am looking forward to a continued relationship.

This will be our third season as CSA members at Down to Earth and we can't wait. Every year we have been amazed by the high quality produce and the sheer variety every week. Who wouldn't love the delicious kale and greens! I am personally in love with the onions Robert grows. Sweet and so full of flavor. I think my husbands favorite are the candy cane radishes. I also found the cauliflower varieties delicious and don't forget the sweet peppers and tomatoes. Thanks for the thoughtful updates Robert. We look forward to the recipes every week and seeing the farm. Love the fresh eggs too! Peace. Geri & David

Hello! 2013 was my first year joining a CSA. I split a whole extended season share with my friend. It was so much fun going to the farm every week for our pick-up. Not only were the vegetables naturally grown without nasty pesticides, they were SO much more flavorful that what we find in our supermarket. And our supermarket has amazingly fresh veggies! I do not have another CSA to compare this to, but I really enjoyed it. We walked around the farm almost every pick-up to see the chickens and the plants growing. It was really cool to try new veggies once in a while that I've never tried before. They always have staple items that pretty much everyone likes, but they also have some unusual and tasty stuff that is kind of fun. They supplemented their veggies with for-purchase additional items like cheeses, eggs, bread. They also had veggies from other local farms such as corn and mushrooms that were included in the share. My friend and I will join again in 2014! ~ Sylvia

We love this CSA. It is by far the best in the area. We have tried 4 different ones and will be sticking with Down to Earth Harvest in future seasons. The team is well organized, the quantity was just right and the quality and variety was terrific. They even send a weekly email to let you know what will be in you share and ideas on how to prepare them.
