This is a farm where you can get vegetables grown without any pesticides. The are grown with care. You can buy meat that comes from animals who are healthy and cared for lovingly, whether it be beef, lamb or chicken. A practice which you witness first hand when you visit. What I treasure most, are the fresh eggs. The eggs here are not only fresh, but the chickens visibly well treated and cared for. They are free range and their diet is as good as mine, if not better! This is what all humans and animals deserve! It is a way of life that is sustaining and sustainable.

Love Meadow Mist Farm....so happy to have learned of it 2 years ago, as it is less than a 1/4 mile from my house! Tucked down a dirt road, one would never know it was there unless a dear friend shared this GOLDEN information with me.

I love their golden yolked eggs, packed with nutrients...as the hens get to roam the farm; on one particular visit I was enchanted to find a head of cabbage dangling like a tire swing in the vacinity of the hens....how clever, I thought, green veggies to tantalize the "ladies"!

On a gray Sunday mormning in "Spring" there is no better cure than a trip to the barn to scratch young and fuzzy cow faces and wooly lamb muzzles to get me out of my winter funk. I leave Meadow Mist with a bag full of marrow bones for making a rich stock to aide my family in detoxing (as the fast paced American life is TOXIC) and add flavor to my stews. I re-enter my kitchen with a spring in my step...inspired to make a yummy Indian dish with ground Local Lamb from Madhur Jaffreys cookbook...my favorite. Thanks to a trip down the dirt road, my family and I have slowed down and are taken care of for today.

We've been buying our meat and eggs at Meadow Mist for a year now. John and Lauren are wonderful and always make us feel at home. My 3 year old son gets so excited to visit the farm. For us, it's not just about buying our food, but about being able to see where it comes from and interact with the animals and farmers. They are always willing to take time to help you and to teach you all about the goings on of the farm.

The eggs are the best eggs ever, hands down. I drive all the way from Salem to buy several dozen at a time and my children are fed primarily with Meadow Mist beef. While the meat and eggs are amazing all on their own, the produce is awesome, too. My favorite is the garlic -- I never knew that garlic could taste so good! It was very different than I'm used to and I ration it out to use in my special dishes. Also, try the huskcherries!

We love Meadow Mist! (and I'm pretty sure Meadow Mist loves us, too!)

It Is always a great pleasure to visit the Meadow Mist Farm. I especially appreciate the love and care with which Lauren and John treat their animals. In the late afternoons of the Summer months, when the animals are readying to return home from the pasture, as they step by step come close to us, the palpable calm of Lauren's "babies" envelops me as well.

I use the Meadow Mist Farm eggs all year around. The chickens are free range, and I mean free range. Many a visit I helped corral these chickens that love to be loose in the grass or the pasture. The produce is so fresh, and some varieties are really unique. Lauren picks it in front of us . The taste is exquisite, and the farm is the "Pastoral" in the deepest sense.

I live in Arlington, which is a blessing because it's only a few miles away. As soon as we turn off the main road towards the farm, it is as if we are in Maine or Vermont. The farm land is peaceful and beautiful.

All the animals at Meadow Mist Farm are very well cared for and loved. Which is so important to my family and I. We live on the eggs and produce.

Lastly, Lauren and John work very hard and are always kind and very welcoming. They do a great job keeping up with all of us in and out of the farm.
