It was a Saturday afternoon and we were on a quest for local, fresh food, wine and atmosphere. Search no more! We found NAshoba Winery, just 50 miles west of Boston. Our day began with creamy Havarti Fondue and a crisp, fruity glass of their estate Vignole wine, seared Rainbow trout, ending with the Chocolate lava explosion paired with a perfectly sweet Raspberry dessert wine. After our hugely satisfying lunch, we made the short trek down the dirt path to their fascinating wine shoppe for a tour just $7 which offered us more tastings of their extensive wine list. We learned later at the tasting bar NVW also produces a whole range of spirits and microbrews as well.

This is a local, family owned farm, orchard, brewery, and restaurant on 50 acres of gardens, vineyards and orchards providing pick your own in the fall for peaches and apples. A great family or couples destination!! We'll be back!
