Limited free choices included with plan, very few types of vegetables offered, poor quality of produce, and run by a couple (who admit on their newsletters sent to customers) of learning to farm as they go. On the positive side, the drop off was always punctual.

The team at Edible Earth Farm has over 27 combined years of experience managing certified organic CSA farming operations. We retained over 98% of our Choice CSA members. Because of this, we have a good idea who the member was who wrote this review. While I'm not sure what motivates her review, this is what she wrote to us: "We've decided not to re-up with Edible Earth farm next year...Our main issue is that we're not able to eat everything we receive, and we experience the volume of of vegetable as a source of pressure and stress." If you're a honest, understanding person who loves organic food and loves supporting organic farmers. We're certain you'll love us.

Rob Roy describes the CSA well. I really like Edible Earth's lettuce greens too. I can't say enough good things about being Edible Earth shareholders. I'm in again for 2013 and can't wait for the season to start.

EEF is by far the best CSA I have encountered. From my experience, as well as from what I hear from other CSA subscribers, Edible Earth gives the best variety without a lot of the weird stuff that other CSAs give. If there is something "weird", like tomatillos, EEF includes recipes, like salsas and sauces, as well as preparation and cooking instructions, to help one get acquainted with that particular produce.

EEF's lettuce greens are absolutely incredible! They last in our refrigerator for weeks at a time. No sliminess, no throwing away produce because we didn't use it fast enough. They really do have the best produce we have ever had; I have never seen produce stay so fresh for so long.

The CSA share comes in a beautiful wooden crate with your name on it. Something about getting fresh produce in these crates each week is like receiving a special package from a high end company. Each week we look forward to the greens and what else they have to provide. We *really* love their potatoes, tomatoes, eggs, chicken, beef and honey. So much so that during their CSA season, we get most, if not all, of our meat, cheese and produce from them.

With EEF I feel like they hold the shareholders first and foremost and really take into account what is best for the shares each week. It is a completely different feeling with them than I have had with other CSAs. I have never seen them skimp on anything or fill up the shares with weird stuff. They are also USDA certified organic, which many other local CSAs claim to be organic, but do not have certification to verify it.

We have used Edible Earth Farm for the last two years and will continue to do so again this year. We can't imagine going back to another service. We certainly are very satisfied shareholders and encourage anyone considering a CSA to take a look at EEF.
