As the season winds down to a close for 2011, we just want everyone to know how much we've enjoyed the CSA relationship with the Morath Orchard. As we stated on our posting in April, the fruits and vegetables grown by the Moraths have been probably the best local produce we've ever had. Jimmy and Becky planted new items this year, i.e. Chinese Cabbage, egg plant, herbs, Boc Choi, just to name a few. The abundance and variety of produce from the farm this year was totally awesome. as the year ends this coming saturday 9/24, all CSA sponsors have been invited to the Morath Orchard/farm for a dinner to end the season. Josefina and I have discussed how very pleased we have been with all the variety and quantity of produce supplied to us as CSA members this year and we are extremely happy to hear that Jimmy and Becky are offering the CSA sponsorship again in 2012. We've advised them that in 2012 we would like 2 sponsorships (we'll be gifting the second to freinds and neighbors as 1 sponsorchip is actually more than either of us can consume each week. The Tomatoes, onions, potatoes, melons and different squashes this year were all excellent and we look forward to sharing it all next year). Don't let this CSA sponsorship pass you by in 2012, I guarantee you'll be disappointed if you do. Respectfully, Bobby and Josefina

We moved to Texas from Pennsylvania in Oct 2006 and tried to find a CSA in the Wichita Falls area (to no avail), but we did find the local Farmers Market open from May to Sept/Oct. and met Becky and Jim Morath. Their produce and fruits are grown with love and care and are excellent. We have been buying their veggies and fruits for the past 5 years. We were really excited to learn that they have now taken a further step in local agriculture by becoming CSA affilliated and we have had the priviledge to sign on with them as a CSA sponsor the first year they have offered sponsorship. I know that we wil be extremely pleased with the abundance of veggies and fruits they have to offer for the 18 weeks that we will be receiving the foods under the CSA agreement. They are also very busy with the local Farmers Market and supplying area stores with their produce. It has been a pleasure to get to know Becky and Jim Morath. I would recommend anyone who has a chance to join them as a CSA sponsor to do so, but if you miss the boat this year, be sure to contact them and join the next year..

Respectfully Bobby and Josefina Puckett

I just signed up for this CSA. It's their first year, so I haven't received anything yet, but I went out and toured the farm, and met the owners, and I was really impressed.

If you are thinking about being part of this CSA, don't hesitate. The owners are wonderful people, deeply rooted in the community. I will post another review after I start receiving my shares.
