Good amount, little variety
By: Jessica Cochran (Sep 13, 2014)
Oxbow was my first try at a CSA in Seattle. I got a small share, and while there was always enough to feed 2-3 people for the week, there didn't seem to be a lot of variety in the box. Nearly every week there were carrots and lettuce, plus another green like chard or kale. There was a lot of fennel, and later in the season zucchini and cucumbers. The produce was always good and fresh, but for me it was an overabundance of greens and not enough of the heartier vegetables I prefer. It could be just that this season was not as good for those things, but I think I will try elsewhere next year.
