Because they work so hard to produce our fruits and veggies and we NEED TO SUPPORT them! The grocery stores sells CRAP! I will ALWAYS come to Farmers Market on Tuesdays to buy all I can from them! The taste and quality is by far the best in the county! Thankyou ALL for all your hard work!

I support local small businesses because its the furthest away from capitalism in this country.

Precisely. Letting the market set the prices, free of intervention by governments, is the key of capitalism, not giant multinational corporations.

What you're doing is a perfect example of how capitalism is supposed to work.

You can buy locally grown fruits, veggys, locally made foods and other items. By getting local foods, they are left on the vine or tree until they're ripe so you get more flavor.

They've got everything from honey and jams to fresh tamales!! It's so nice having access to fresh products and very enjoyable just to walk up and down the streets.

Keep it local....the regulars every week let you get to know them and them to know you. Having some new vendors every so often keeps it all interesting with new things to try out.

I love going to the farmers market on Tues. evenings and buying my fresh fruit and veggies. Last Tues. I decided to buy more quash and have fun with them. I made a batch last night and put lemon pepper on them. My husband who isn't a big veggie eater wouldn't stop eating them. That made me happy and Hey, "That's my dinner!" LOL

I grew up in Escondido and have fond childhood memories of the farmers market. There are are a great variety and plenty of vendors, so it is worth the trip and never a disappointment. They have some great vendor food (try the Italian booth's calzones..they're amazing!). Escondido has a bad rep but their downtown is really cute and deserves a visit!
