Because you can obtain fresh, homegrown produce and because the proceeds of the booth rental fees support our local elementary school

The La Jolla Market is a lovely place to be on Sunday mornings! The vendors are friendly, sample plentiful and the food offerings are so original! It's worth a trip simply to see the abundance of fresh herbs and flowers for sale everywhere!

They have a huge selection of great organic produce! I love getting fresh and locally grown organic produce and supporting our local organic growers.

Seriously amazing produce, plus a wide selection of other goods like cut flowers, prepared foods, baked goods, and beautiful jewelry. As an added bonus, the sun is always shining and there's a big grassy lawn for stretching out and listening to the music while you sample your purchases.

It has a big selection of items: produce, flowers, jewelry, and food. The vendors are very pleasant and many of them grow or make what they're selling.

It is the most awesome "European feeling" and "local" market I have ever been to. The food - the music - the patrons - the fun!

Wonderful fresh vegetables and fruit, fresh baked goods, anything from music to clothing and jewelry, fresh flowers, etc, etc. It's also a great place to meet your neighbors and share some food and local news. Don't miss it!!

Whenever I visit my family in the Bird Rock area I also, pickup the fresh seasonal produce. My weekday residence is the Imperial Valley 125 miles SouthEast of San Diego...so, we do not have Farmers Markets during the Summer...the desert can be very uncomfortable.

Because I love the fresh, organic produce. And because I particularly appreciate the effort the farmers are making. I want them to succeed.

I visit the la jolla farmers market almost every sunday. They are open from 9-1 and you can find a wide variety of local produce, flowers, local fish and homemade items like cupcakes, cheesecakes, bread, salsas, pastas, tortillas, and many other wonderful items. I highly recommend this farmers market, enjoy!
