Have been visiting this market each week for a long time and the produce and flowers are really great! A fun hour or so visiting each Saturday has put a smile on my wife's face and our plates. We are very pleased week in and out and love to volunteer and shop one of the nicest Markets in the country.

Atmosphere - the setting is gorgeous, right in the middle of Colonial Williamsburg's Merchants Square. Heirloom tomatoes, colorful kale, wildflowers and more are beautifully arranged by local farmers who take pride in their harvests. True local color comes from the growers who describe for customers what's in season and how to cook it. It makes my week.

Great veggies, flowers and fruit from local farmers who really care about what they do -- and become friends you look forward to seeing every week. More and more, I'm realizing the importance of this market: I get to eat great local food; it helps support local farmers; it protects open land; it allows me to buy food with a much smaller carbon footprint and safety I can rely on.

They have such a vast variety of fresh, local produce, I always find what I'm looking for, and more! The people that work there are always so friendly and helpful. I also like that they are open everyday, I shop there about three times a week.

This review was meant for "The Country Market". There is something wrong with the links on this site - the message started out for "The Country Market", but when it was sent it said "Williamsburg Farmers Market". While they are both in Williamsburg, they are two seperate markets. This comment says "I shop there 3 times a week" but the Williamsburg Farmers Market is only open Saturday mornings. The Country Market is open 7 days a week. Also, on my page, along the right hand column, where it says recent reviews, it lists all the reviews for Williamsburg Farmers market instead of The Country Market. Of course, there are no reviews for The Country Market, because they're going to my competitor!

I'm a farmer's daughter and appreciate the work and dedication it takes to offer the fresh produce and other products we see every week at the market. And our dog loves to visit the market to see her friends, human and four legged.

This is the best place to get beautiful organic food on a weekly basis. I love to support this market - the food is fresh, local,"green".I bring my own bags. The food hasn't had to be shipped anywhere and it is weeks fresher than anything you can get in the supermarket. This particular market has an incredible variety in products offered.

Thw williamsburg Farmers' Market has a nice variety of local produce plus a number of specialties such as home-baked pies, bee products and cheeses. The local master gardeners have a help desk to answer any gardening questions which is a nice addition.

Aside from offering fresh local produce and products, a great location, and a festive atmosphere, this market is a true "farmers" market committed to supporting farming, agriculture and related environmental issues.

I like the idea of being a "locavore" (just heard on the radio that this is really an entry in Merriam-Webster)and the WFM certainly has a huge variety of locally grown and made foods. And bonus points for the professional cooking demo using local goodies.

Our Farmers Market is one of the social events of the week. You meet up with neighbors and friends who usually have their dogs with them. It's like a pet parade and some of the vendors bring treats for them and put out water dishes. The produce is always fresh. One of the vendors especially picked 3 kinds of minute squash at 3 a.m. one Saturday morning for a dinner party we were hosting that night. Talk about from soil to table. All this while eating locally grown heathly foods. It doesn't get any better than this.

I'm a vendor there, Blenheim Organic Gardens. It's probably the prettiest farmers market setting in the whole United States! We get to set up our produce every Saturday morning underneath a lovely Crape Myrtle tree, and the market customers are very appreciative of all we do. Thanks Williamsburg!

Because Buster's Seafood is there with the freshest catch of the day. Steamed crabs, fresh picked crabmeat, clams, oh and their to die for Chesapeake Bay Soft Shell Crabs, fresh frozen, live and freshly dressed. In the winter they have Rappahannock River Oysters in the shell and freshly shucked. Ummmm. Yummy stuff.
