Over the last couple of months after finishing a "whole 30" my girlfriend and I decided we wanted to make the transition to eating better quality, free range meats. We participate in a local crop share and love it so we did a little research and discovered the Genuine Food Company's meat CSA. We are just finishing up the Fall meat CSA and will definitely be signing up for the Winter share. The Variety of the meat has been excellent and ranged from Delmonico steaks, breakfast sausage, bacon, ham steaks, to whole chickens and much more and the quality does not COMPARE to grocery store meat. We just had our T-Bone's from the Nov share for dinner last night and the filet was like butter. My girlfriend refuses to order steak at a restaurant any more because she said the ones from Genuine are so good it has spoiled her!

My husband and I stumbled up on the Genuine Food Co. meat share a little over 2 years ago through the Green Onion Market and Clementine restaurant in Hamilton. We love to eat a local farm-to-table restaurants and decided we wanted to try to do the same at home. We had been searching for a good source of local, humanely raised meat, and since joining the meat share, we haven't purchased meat at a grocery store (other than the Green Onion) - going on 2 and a half years now! The quality of the meat is outstanding, it doesn't even compare to so-called "organic" meat found in most grocery stores. I often find myself in wonder of the amazing flavor of something as simple as ground beef. We love supporting local farms, especially ones that follow sustainable, humane and eco-friendly standards. We will continue to support Genuine Food Co. for many years to come!

We are finishing up our first share of beef and pork with Genuine Food Co and I can't say enough great things about this CSA. We have gotten a great variety of meats and the owners are very helpful. We love being able to get local meat that is raised the right way. And the taste just doesn't compare to grass fed supermarket meat.
