We eat well with Eatwell
By:    (Feb 23, 2010)

We've been members of Eatwell for years now, and we absolutely love it. Here are a few of the reasons:

-We feel connected to the seasons. We always get a full box no matter the impediments the farm encounters. When things are rough there (power outages, too much/too little rain, freezing weather, etc.), we realize just how fortunate we are to have this enhanced understanding of where our food comes from.

-The food is delicious.

-The food is organic, fresh and healthy. -We've learned to cook with things that we never ate before, giving us a much more varied diet.

-Our daughter has grown up feeling that this is 'her' farm. She loves going to the farm, and will eat things from there that she won't otherwise eat "because Nigel grows the best veggies".

-Nigel emphasizes community. In addition to the frequent opportunities to go up and visit the farm for campouts, chili cook-offs, strawberry days, and canning parties, the blog and newsletters really make us feel we are part of a community. We've met neighbors through the farm, and made new friends.

-The eggs are the best on the planet.

-As members, our input is sought and we are listened to.

-Nigel is always expanding offerings. In addition to fruits and vegetables, there are lavender products, seasoned salts, now the eggs, sometimes chickens to eat, and he is working on a grain and legume CSA.

-The farm is always working to become more sustainable. For example, the delivery trucks were converted to run on recycled vegetable oil.

-Lots of convenient pick-up locations throughout the Bay Area.

Wonderful farm, food, and people!
By: Louise Berhau    (Jun 23, 2009)

We've been Eatwell Farm CSA members for a few years now, and have loved it! They have great veggies, fruits and eggs. Nigel, Molly, and the rest of the team are passionate about what they grow, and they have lots of events where you can camp and/or spend the day on the farm.

Happy Eatwell Customer
