The best local fresh yogurt, flowers, bread and honey. Great community gathering place on Saturday mornings.

It's open year-round and always has lots of friendly people and nice produce and meats. And just TRY to go there without getting a sample of the sorbet. It might just be impossible.

It is beautiful! It is a place for the rainbow which is Arlington to meet for a variety of fresh food, flowers, baked goods, meat, cheese, fresh pasta, herbs, mushrooms, music, local honey and politics! You can get garden advice from Master Gardeners or buy an orchid! Meet the policitians or sign a petition. Oh, and the berries and apples are wonderful in their variety! AND ALL SURPLUS GOES TO THE ARLINGTON FOOD ASSISTANCE CENTER! (to help those who cannot afford good, fresh food)

The market has a diversity of high-quality fruits, vegetables, eggs, meats, cheeses and baked goods. The vendors are customer oriented. The extension agents are helpful, and the market is open many weeks.

The Arlington Farmers Market brings Arlington's diverse community together every Saturday morning. Young, single professionals are shoulder-to-shouler with families of all ethnic backgrounds, area chefs scoping out what might be good on that night's menu and master gardeners helping people learn how to grow their own. It's a robust market with lines around the block for the best produce and meats. It's a place for farmers to thrive and eaters to learn more about where their food comes from.

The variety is fantastic (especially now in the middle of summer) and the vendors are always friendly. The Saturday morning market provides instant inspiration for what to cook for the rest of the week.

The first time I was there I stumbled upon it cursing them for closing the roads and now I'm a regular patron. The variety is fantastic and it has an amazing small town community vibe that I miss in the big city.

The best thing is waking up early on Saturday mornings and visiting this wonderful market (which, by the way, is coupled with a wonderful antiques/flea market!). Every table has a new gem on it, and all of the vendors have kind words of advice on how to cook their wonderful produce!

The variety is great, it's easy to park, also metro accessible and just a friendly all around atmosphere. It's great to be able to talk to the folks that grow the food and I get a great feeling buying produce that is sustainable and local.

Being able to see the products raised by farmers reminds me of my grandfathers farm. The tastes are so much better than what is available in conglomerate corporational 'fresh' produce supermarkets

Consumer behavior is the key to change the unsustainable agricultural practices that are common with industrial and large scale farmers, therefore I am supporting organic farmers in particular

Fabulous selection of produce and other edibles all grown/produced locally (within a certain radius of the market).

Because I suppor our local farmers selling fresh, sustainably-grown food that is good for our health and good for the environment. I want to send a message to the large mutlinationals selling unhealthy feedlot meat and pesticide-laden vegetables that this is NOT the way of the future for any of us or our planet. Back to basics!

I have been happily shopping at the Arlington Farmers Market for two years now. The location is super accessible and the vendors routinely deliver fresh, high-quality, fruit, vegetables, dairy, meats, jams, breads, sorbets - you name it. Chef-led tours in the spring/summer offer insight into how to select and prepare the farm-fresh ingredients, as well as cooking tips for some of the more obscure offerings. Get there early, especially in the summer months, as long lines form quickly.
