I brought my small children to the farm on a day when a website glitch had incorrectly said they were open for u-pick. Mr. Branstrator looked at my van, saw the kids, and said, "I'm the boss, I can change the rules! Come on in and I'll give you the best berry-picking experience!" And he was right - tons of berries on a beautiful mild day and only us in the field...thanks!!

We love picking at Branstrator! The raised rows make it much easier and cleaner to pick, especially with kids. The strawberries are gorgeous and delicious and Jon and Danielle and the team do an amazing job of keeping things running smoothly and always being friendly and welcoming.

If you're looking for a good strawberry picking experience for your family, look no further!

For 18 years, The Jam and Jelly Lady (a cannery in Lebanon, Ohio) has used Branstrator's berries and tomatoes in her products. What does she like? The high quality of the produce, the incredible views from the u-pick fields, the happy staff, the family fun picking pumpkins, the calm drive in the country, the wonderful farmer... What's not to like?

Jon B. manages a family farm whose roots go wayyy back. But he runs it with the knowledge and wisdom of a small farmer who puts in huge amounts of time studying the latest growing techniques. He collaborates with other farmers and OSU, plus he shares his wealth of knowledge with any farmer who needs help. I don't know of a more generous soul, and his commitment to his fellow man is strongly reflected in his produce.

You really need to take the trip to Branstrator Farm, or find his produce in Dorothy Lane, Pipkin's, and other local farm stands. You won't be disappointed!

We look forward to visiting every Spring for strawberry picking. It's always nice to see the Branstrators and the produce is lovely and delicious. I appreciate that they can tell me exactly how each field has been treated and when. This is not an overly commercial place. If you are looking for schtick, or overpriced gimmicks you'll have to go elsewhere. This is a real farm, with a real family, where you can get real food.

There are quite a few reasons I really enjoy Branstrator farms! First and foremost is the amount of knowledge and care that goes into growing these vegetables in a sustainable manner with responsible stewardship on such a large scale. The diversity of what he grows guarantees that throughout the entire growing season you will find something you love and want from Farmer Jon. His on-site farm stand is always open and he is at multiple farmers' market. Also check out their website for their spring and fall festivals.
