I've been a customer of pokeberry farm for a year and it's been a terrific experience. I chose Pokeberry over other farm shares because I could choose what produce we got rather than just being given a random box of preselected items. We're not picky, but experience with a farmshare back in NY showed us, after 6 weeks of eggplant, that we might be pickier than we thought!

Richard's offerings have caused us to be more adventurous with unfamiliar foods. White Turnips and Okra (I didn't even know what it was when he gave me a bag) were clear WINNERS. For our taste, Senposie, not so much, although it is absolutely amazing in an omelet.

If there's any downside, it's that I still have to go to the grocery store for some of the more "common" vegetables. That being said, I understand there's a limit to what one man (and his dog) can do.

Pokeberry Farm has the best veggies - from kale to collards, tomatoes to potatoes, it's all amazing! Many of my friends and neighbors who have never had locally harvested OR organic foods can truly tell the difference and are amazed! Richard and Sawdust are amazing ambassadors for local and organic foods. Oh, and the eggs are to die for as well!
