My family thoroughly enjoyed our share last year, and are looking forward to this spring. I love that our food is grown right down the road from us, my kids can help pick our produce, and that I actually know how to cook all the choices! I am very grateful for this opportunity so close to home, and value the fact that my kids get to see exactly where their food is grown and also get to meet the farmer!

The 2013 CSA was great. Whilst it wasn't organic like my previous CSA, it was nearer to home (slow food is the thing now isn't it?!!). Picking out exactly what I wanted from the selection was good and I could involve the kids (my previous CSA sent me a box of what they had selected). We had so many vegetables I was still using CSA cabbage, potato and squash at Christmas! I will be signing up for 2014 for sure. Many thanks Mike and team

The 2013 season was my first experience with CSA. I like being able to browse through and select what I wanted for the week. Everything was super fresh, even a refrigerated case for the herbs and some of the veggies. We really enjoyed the corn, melons, red bell peppers, carrots, summer & winter squash, basil and tomatillo. I would have liked to see more salad greens like kale or spinach, offered. Overall, a great experience, freshest produce, and great value. I also like that it supports local farmers. Thank you, VanOoteghem Farms, for feeding Bay County!
