I trust the food sold there more than that produced commercially in CAFOs and sprayed fields and transported thousands of miles and such...

It makes a big difference in the locally grown foods and plants those of us who shop there on Saturdays and Wednesdays are able to purchase.

Lynchburg Community Market has something for everyone: restaurants, fresh farm produce, childrens' entertainment, crafts, and a chance for the everyday farmer to take their produce to sell. There arebooths to sell homemade items of all types. Then there's Friday Cheers, a monthly festival with entertainment outdoors for the folks in Lynchburg to enjoy.

I love fresh home-grown vegetables and fruit and the people are very friendly. Also, the homemade pies, breads and jelly, jam and preserves are delicious. It's also a great place to meet and chat with friends.

beautiful selection of fruits, vegetables, baked goods, cheese, jam, wine, crafts, etc. etc.; permanent vendors and stores with great food; convivial atmosphere - an opportunity for all ages, races, and economic levels to sit down together eating too much peach cobbler. My favorite place to be on saturday morning, and the wednesday morning organic market is great.

wonderful fresh breads, organic vegetables, cheeses and sense of community. The oldest continuous market in the country.

I love the idea of supporting local business people. The Lynchburg Farmers Market is a great place to start. It's a wonderful to buy fresh fruits and veggies and plants. There is an inside market where one can buy delicious homemade ready to go food . The craft areas offer wonderful hand made products.I usually buy my Christmas gifts at the Lynchburg Farmers Market. It is very accessable with plenty of parking. Located in the downtown area, the Farmers Market is a great place to shop.
