L&R Family Farm updated their listing on Local Harvest in July 2013, so I trusted the information provided was current. We drove all the way out (not a huge distance but about a mile of unpaved road involved) shortly after 9am on Saturday mid-August to the address specified, hoping to buy eggs and possibly the produce they'd listed as in-season. When we arrived, a gentleman in the yard greeted us. We said we were looking for a farm stand. He advised that it was his (gave last name) residence, and behaved as though he had no clue what we were talking about. When we arrived back home after a pointless trip, we were even more frustrated to find that the last name he gave was that of the owners of L&R Family Farm. We're new to the area and had hoped to keep our business here in the valley, but after this experience we'll probably skip the wild goose chases and head directly to the market over the hill from now on.

I live in Lake Havasu and there are some options. There is a farmers market in Bullhead City. There is also Bountiful baskets that is a fruit/veg co-op program (I think, I know many who have this service but I have not tried it yet). Bountiful baskets services a large area including Flagstaff, so they might service your area as well. Here in Havasu We also have an all organic farm stand. Sometimes you really have to hunt for local organic.

Correction: This farm had updated their listing in June, not July.
