The produce was great, but my God, that woman with sunglasses who sold peaches and tomatoes (the one who was REALLY into peaches, and couldn't stop talking about them for 5 minutes to let me buy my stuff and move on) is so rude and overbearing. Wouldn't even let me bag my produce let alone touch it without her permission and treated me, a grown adult, like a helpless child. If you see a table with a boatload of peaches and notice a woman talking customers' ears off about how to handle them and when: avoid at all costs. Everything else was fine, I think.

I was told about this Farmers market by the WIC office but they didn't give an address. I know approximately where it is but an address would be nice. On here the address posted is on Santa Cruz, CA, that must be just for the web site. I was going to send my mom to the Farmers market but she wouldn't just go search for it. I know it's probably between the 300-800 block of W. 16th to 18th. Right? Since I haven't been there, I can't write a real review. Also when i tried to look up the location, through here in more cities, it gave me 3 addresses in Michigan... for Erie Pennsylvania locations.

I have been taking advantage of this wonderful event for the last three summers. I just got my food stamps for June and will be making my first trip to the market on Monday the 19th. This is an awesome resource for people in the Little Italy neighborhood, as there are no large groceries/markets within walking distance, and very little fresh produce available. The 50% discount for SNAP users makes buying good quality, fresh, fruits and vegetables affordable. Entertainment provided on special occasions is a plus, and there are non-food vendors on site as well. It's a weekly surprise party that brings the neighborhood together. Join us!
