Amazing heirloom & local food
By: Chris Herbert    (Oct 10, 2013)

I have had the pleasure of buying food from Food for Thought over the past year, and I must say, the food is beyond amazing, The owners, Tim and Charlotte are probably the nicest people you will ever meet too!

First off, they grow heirloom varieties of produce, which is my opinion is a major step up from organic. Second, the farm/garden is all sustainable and self-sufficient, hence permaculture. Every little thing about Food for Thought has been meticulously thought out.

It's rare to find people as dedicated to growing food responsibly as Food for Though has. Even though it's not a BIG garden, they produce quite the selection. My personal favorite is their Kim-Chi, also known as "Tim"-Chi. I've also had their rainbow chard, eggplant, potatoes, tomatoes, kale, spinach, sweet and hot peppers (they also make hot sauce from these which is truly incredible) and their preserves are second to none!!

You must visit Food for Thought, the friendly owners, produce quality and prices can't be beat!

I know they host workshops too, but have yet to attend one. But, don't let that stop you, go get your hands dirty and learn how to be self sufficient!
