I called to find a source of pastured, organic, non-GMO goat milk for my infant formula, and that is what is clearly stated on this website that this farm offers. Cecelia called me and seemed shocked that I was expecting non-GMO feed. She really didn't seem to know much about what she was feeding her goats and said she would need to call the feed store. She then asked me, "Why does it need to be non-GMO?" Seriously? I'm actually frightened by that question. I definitely feel farmers should know what they are feeding their animals, and also should not be advertising themselves as organic and non-GMO when they are not.

It's not quite accurate that I was shocked by your question. I get asked questions regarding "Organic," "Pasture-Raised," "Humane," and "Non-GMO" every week by people who really just know those terms as buzz words and nothing more. We have a limited supply of milk and I was trying to determine why you needed it to be Non-GMO so I could help you find an appropriate source. Like I said, most people don't know the difference. We do not use any GMO products as stated on this site. I am recently disabled and someone else purchased/delivered the last batch of feed and I wanted to call the feed store to make sure we were still using non-GMO feed before assuming anything. I was trying to help you and make sure you got accurate information. I'm not sure a negative review was appropriate.
