My sisters and I often meet at the farmers market. We sometimes have breakfast at the corner restaurant. It's fun watching the babystrollers, the interesting breeds of dogs that take their owners to market, and of course the colorful produce and other offerings, especially the wonderful cut flowers and garden plants for sale. Reminds you of a picture Norman Rockwell might paint--a real touch of Americana. A place of connection, conversation, and friends meeting friends. We love it!!

A good selection of produce, baked goods and meat all locally grown with a friendly, neighborhood feel.

Not only is there a wide selection on a regular basis but the individuals at their stands involve themselves with the shoppers talking about their products and chatting kindly with them. It is a pleasant experience to have while shopping.

I've come to know many of the growers over the years and not only do they sell the best produce but they have the best advice from how to grow a particular veggie or fruit to fabulously simple recipes that bring out the best of their produce. I learn something new every time I go!

White Bear Farmer's Market is definately worth a stop. The variety isn't quite as large as the downtown St. Paul Market but pretty well represented for a small town market. The prices are much better overall then some other small suburban markets and every bit as good as the St. Paul Market without the gas expenditure if you live in the eastern suburbs. The quality of the produce was good for the most part. There were meat vendors, honey vendors and bakery vendors as well. All in all I would say it was a worthwhile trip and I will definately be there next week to see what they have to offer.
