Reviews for: Village Bakery & Cafe

This place has enriched the Athens area food culture to a great extent. The food is excellent, fresh, and mostly locally sourced,when possible. If not local, the product is vetted as sustainably produced. The bakery's oatmeal cookies are the best I've ever had and the place has become a comfortable "third space" in the community.

Aside from the very pleasant bakery/restaurant, they have a small grocery with local milk etc. plus regional artisan cheeses and more.

My only mild critique is I wish they featured more whole-grained baked goods.
