Neighborhood Foods Farm (& UTC) is a mission driven non-profit that's really making a difference! They grow beautiful produce naturally, without the use of chemicals, transforming dangerous lots into neighborhood assets. They run free health and wellness programs for kids and adults. They employ local youth and adults at the farm...AND they're giving people the power to take control over the food that they grow and eat. What's not to love?

Neighborhood Foods Farm has a beautiful site in west Philly, a hidden gem at the center of a city block. Veggies are delicious and high-quality. My favorites are broccoli raab, baby spicy greens, and heirloom beets. They also sell veggies to people who live near the farm at subsidized prices, to improve their access to fresh, chemical-free produce. Staff at the farm and market stands are knowledgeable and helpful. Great mission, great veggies, great farm!
