I have finished my 4th season with flying plow, following them from Joppa to Rising Sun. The quality and quantity of food has been superb each season. I have several friends who use other CSAs and know I continually get more food/$ each week. The weekly pickups are convenient and I like having access to the farm for picking.
Sarah, Tom, and their staff are true professionals. At the same time, their annual parties create a sense of community around the farm.
I look forward the 2016 season! Thank you, Flying Plow!

Flying Plow Farm CSA is a great way to eat locally, sustainably, and organic. Sarah, Tom, and all the workers are such kind, passionate, and hard working people who care about you and your family's health and wellbeing and it's evident through the abundant amount and variety of vegetables and produce that you get at their farm. Every week I was excited to see what I would be getting at the farm. Please do yourself, your health, and the environment a huge favor and become a part of the Flying Plow CSA family!

I love, Love, LOVE the Flying Plow Farm CSA and talk about them to everyone I meet. We get a huge variety of vegetables and some fruits too throughout the summer. Sarah and Tom send out weekly newsletters and host events through the season, really working to make everyone feel as if they are part of something special. I think that one of the things that I most appreciate about Flying Plow Farm is that it is the only CSA I have found in the Harford County area that operates like a CSA is supposed to: you are buying a share of the farmer's crops, not a pre-paid 6 item weekly produce parcel. That means that when crops are successful, you will receive a lot (and I mean, a LOT) of tomatoes. Or eggplant, or lettuce, or whatever the successful crops are. On the other hand, when the crop doesn't work well, you will get little to nothing. Flying Plow grows a large variety though, so you will never feel shorted. Highly recommended.

The Flying Plow is one of the few local farms growing food organically. Don't be fooled by integrated pest management- that is a fancy way of saying that they still use pesticides, GMO crops and unnatural fertilizers. Flying Plow is the REAL DEAL. They're working hard to bring us healthy food.

I am passionate about food, and my goal is to get out of the grocery store. When I tell folks how I accomplished this I say, "I buy everything local, and my #1 Farm is Flying Plow in Cecil County. Tom and Sarah are young, hard-working entrepreneurial farmers. They are the American Dream. They began as tenant farmers in Harford County. In the fall of 2013 they purchased their first farm in Cecil County and over the winter moved all of their equipment and livestock. It was extremely cold and snowy; but, they returned to the Farmers Market the following April without missing a beat." With their talents and the grace of God, the soil cooperated. I couldn't be more proud. The produce, chicken, and eggs are top quality. Credit goes to Tom and Sarah and the many interns they hire to work on the farm.
My dream came true when they succeeded in providing produce this entire winter, and YES the kale is delicious! Every week has been a humble blessing. With gratitude, Michele

Flying Plow is not just one of the very few organic farms in my area, they are also helping to create more organic farmers with their education/internships.
Beyond that, these people are very fair minded, good and just plain old nice!
They truly work hard to make sure your food has had the healthy soil, care and (for the live ones) respect it deserves.
These people really respect the planet.
And they deliver to area farmer markets in Havre De Grace and BelAir.
You can order a share and pick it up in your neighborhood.

We are in our fourth year as CSA members of Flying Plow Farm. We are a family of five, so as you can imagine, we go through a lot of food each week. Flying Plow supplies us with more than enough organic, fresh food to feed us not just week to week, but to store and save to last nearly all year. We pick up at the farm, and therefore in addition to our share, can pick certain crops each week. It's a wonderful way to take a break from the hustle and bustle and spend some family time outdoors. Sarah and Tom are very kind and knowledgeable. Happy to be a part of the Flying Plow family!

Our family has been members of the Flying Plow CSA for 4 years. I love knowing where my food comes from and that I do not have to worry about harmful chemicals on my food. There is an amazing variety of vegetables and a great amount. You can also gets eggs and chicken. My family has tried many new items and my husband won't eat any other eggs now.
There are many options of where to pick up your share. We drive 35 minutes to the farm so we can also do the u-pick. This is a wonderful addition to the share and a great experience for my kids. My daughter loves to pick flowers and make bouquets. My son loves to pick green beans and is now an avid eater of them. It is also a lot of fun to see the horses working in the field. It is obvious that Tom and Sarah are committed to the health of their members and the environment. This is an awesome CSA!!
