Vegetables and fruit from Sarvodaya Farms tastes great, night and day from local grocery stores. Their farming practices work with nature and not against it. The farmers care for nature and community is inspirational. The farms is a project from the Growing Home a non profit orginization promoting urban farming and community, not only are you supporting local farmers you are supporting an orginization teaching people how to grow their own food and creating a wonderful community, cannot say enough good things about Sarvodaya Farms !!!

Gosh, before I would have to drive out all the way to Ontario for wholesome fruits and veggies. Now I can save on gas and not worry about polluting. They have so many options for getting wholesome food. They have "u-pick" days, a farmstand, and a CSA signup! No excuses for not buying local and organic. I am reluctant to buy conventional hard-to-find vegetables, for my Thai and Vietnamese dishes, at the Asian markets. Now that Rishi and Manju are growing a diversity of product, I am relieved to be able to buy organic Thai eggplant. This year (2015) they grew the Lavender cultivar from Baker Creek. Yum yum.

This farm is really something special. They are non-profit and the produce I buy from them is grown by farmers-to-be in their training program. Everything they grow is super tasty, non-GMO, and mostly heirlooms! Love my CSA Box!
