Because the food is local, grown with care and without pesticides and it is a great community effort vs. big, commercial, imported "farmers markets."

I love the variety of vendors. Many of the farmers practice biodynamic or organic farming. Also some of the vendors involve local special communities. The local musicians add a nice touch.

I've been to many farmer's markets. The organizers, the vendors, and the shoppers, make this a great community event. This market also continues year-round on a limited basis with a nice selection...even Bison meat.

It's a great place with friendly local vendors. It's a bit out of my way, but when I get there I am rarely disappointed.

Incredible variety of vendors - fruits, veggies, mushrooms, meats (especially fond of the pasture-raised veal), baked goods, chocolates, cheeses, soap, coffee, honey, local artisans, etc. Some of the farms involve special communties such as Camphills residents and St. Gabriel's young men. Many of the farms follow organic or biodyanmic farming pricipals and many of the vendors selling prepared wares use local ingredients and traditional preparation methods such as those suggeted by the Weston A. Price Foundation. These factors make me comfortable buying things that I can't produce/grow myself. Great local musicans playing, the opportunity to learn/play things like "Go" or do yoga, and the children's tent make the market a community gathering place where it is easy to meet people and make friends. Phoenixville market is so much more than just a shopping place.

They don't spray their vegetables with pesticides. I wish they could do it with their fruit, too.

The market manager is careful to bring in a good variety of good food. She protects the vendors by making sure there is not too much of any one thing there, which also helps the customers by offering a variety of things to choose from. The market has good music, a fun safe place for children, and great customers!

They have a complete offering so you can really do all of you shopping at this market. They also send a weekly email so you know what you can expect.

Wonderful vendors - let me see: best fresh produce around; brown eggs; Jack's (who is really Dan) spring mix and plants and flowers; Whole Hearted Bakery's anything; the honey lady and her honey; American Harvest honey wheat bread (do I see a pattern here?); peanut butter dog cookies for our spoiled pup; the craft's people once a month; and I could go on.

We love supporting local businesses. Phoenixville being our favorite with some of our favorite farms and businesses, and we get to walk there every Saturday Morning. My daughter loves the children's area, and my husband enjoys the music. Great Saturday morning routine, we love it!

I support Phoenixville Farmers' Market because I am thrilled that we have our own market downtown where we can buy locally produced food items with a good selection of organic fruits and vegetables as well as meat, chicken and eggs from humanely raised animals.

My family has watched the Phoenixville Farmers' Market grow and we have followed the market through its 3 locations. The Phoenixville Farmers' Market is a place for my family to feel connected to the people growing, producing, and baking the foods we eat. The musicians provide entertainment while we shop or while we sit to watch them. Our children are learning many valuable lessons about the food we eat and the planet we inhabit (and of course they love the goodies and the crafts!). Even our family dog loves visiting the market, greeting other dogs there, and shopping for homemade doggie treats. It's a place to try new foods and try new recipes. I always enjoy seeing a new face at the market, but I especially appreciate how the vendors and the regulars have become a sort of family.

The Phoenixville Farmers' Market truly exemplifies Southeastern Pennsylvania's "Buy Fresh, Buy Local" campaign. The local producers are PROUD to be there. And, more importantly, within this four-hour window on a rain or shine Saturday, there's a strong sense of community camraderie. I honestly believe there is none better and I look forward each week to being part of my town's market experience.

We feel the that produce and meat we purchase at the market is more nutritious and delicious than what is available at the grocery store and it is local! We love supporting and being a part of this local farmer's market community.

Because it is the BEST. It is well run, organized, and has a wonderful locally grown, raised and produced selection of everything you need or want. Phoenixville is a small town and it's wonderful to run into people you know - and the dogs that come with their owners are awesome. My only regret is that we don't have a year-round market. The Freindship Firehouse is for sale on the North side of town - with plenty of parking - and could provide a permanent home with space for a coffee shop and small restaurant.

PFM is our favorite Market-- they have live music, a tent with things for kids to do, it's nicely contained and I feel safe letting my kid wander around freely... oh.. and they have great food vendors, not too many artisans-- so it's really a FARMERs market... bison, pork, veggies galore, baked goods... yum!!

This market just keeps getting better all the time. It's small and intimate but has amazing food and great people. Also, they have an awesome winter market that gets us through the year!

The Pville Farmer's Market is a gem that no one should miss. Drive right past Produce Juntion and their pesticide-laced goods and head into Phoenixville for the finest in locally grown, mostly organic goods. There's even a guy that sells bison meat...mmmm, good!!!
