The ambiance and location are magnificent. Great selection of venders offering excellent products and produce including local coffee companies and bakeries. I like to carry a cup of fresh brewed coffee while I shop. There is usually music or some kind of entertainment. People are very kind and generous. One can take a pleasant walk along the bay/lake.

The variety of food available is phenominal, and the quality of the fresh produce is far more superb than one could get at a supermarket! Plus, the fresh veggies have no pesticides or any other poisons on them.

There is no better way to spend a Saturday morning than purchasing local food and flowers with a view of Lake Michigan. This market has a great sense of community, and for this reason I go out of my way to shop here over markets in my neighborhood.

Nice variety of produce and vendors alike and it's in a park on Lake Michigan so it also makes for a nice atmosphere and my son actually LIKES coming to the market with me because he gets to have a little bit of fun after we browse and eat our goodies in the park!

Every Saturday in summer I usually get up around 8:30, and wake up my sister. We walk over to the farmers market and see what we can get. Most of the time we just beg our parents for money and then get soda. Once it was over, we sometimes play games with ALL of our neighbors and their parents! Plus, the South Shore Farmers Market is a great place for friends to get together after a long winter.

The local variety is fantastic. Love seeing people I know, and being along the lakefront. Teaching my daughters about how to make smart choices for their bodies.

There's nothing like farmers markets to bring Milwaukee's many communities together. At South Shore Park, we get people coming from all over the greater Milwaukee area, not just Bay View. There's no other place that does so quite like this farmers market. The community grows stronger each time we get together and draw more people in.

I really love to visit the market every Saturday morning for the wonderful variety of fresh vegetables, but I most enjoy their season-opening event: the Bay View Plant Sale. This is a wonderful annual event hosted by the Bay View Garden and Yard Society that brings 6 or more local plant vendors to the South Shore Market space. Impressive!

You can purchase everything you need for a tasty meal at the farmer's market in South Shore Park -- you can't say that about all of them!

This market is the best. With the lakefront as a beautiful back drop this market offers great organic produce, bakery, coffee, fresh eggs, and ethnic foods. The market is what everyone in Bay View looks forward to on Saturday mornings. It where we all meet to catch up with one another, talk about issues in the neighborhood while enjoying the great musical entertainment.

Our Farmers Market literally serves as a neighborhood social event with entertainment, education, opportunities for community organizations and businesses to gain exposure and sell their goods as well as provides our neighborhood (with hundreds of attendees each week!) with opportunities to purchase reasonably priced produce, flowers, honey, soaps, soups, coffee, bakery, kettle corn, cheese, sausage and much more. It is so much more than a Farmers Market--its a really valuable community touchpoint to build neighborhood fellowship.
