The farmers market has expanded and relocated two blocks south next to the railroad tracks, the new location offers more parking, access to bathrooms and closer to the downtown shops. Coming soon the Farmers Market Pavillion!

Simply the best around. The staff maintains a great atmosphere for local growers and craftsmen to display and sell their unique work or great products. Certainly an excellent retreat the hustle-and-bustle of big city department stores and sub-par produce departments.

Since our market received an infusion of volunteers from our Main Street organization the market has expanded both farmers/vendors and visitors. Downtown comes alive on Thursdays with colorful tents, friendly vendors, locals and visitors. The variety and quality assures return visitors week after week. Seasonal produce makes its way into local restaurants as another benefit of having fresh, local and available produce just steps away. The High Springs Farmers Market is a program of the City of High Springs and managed by the Main Street Program.

The High Springs Farmers Market is supporting our local farmers and our community with a wide variety of fresh produce and handmade goods. The market has created a social gathering place with music and occassional activities. All the members are working very hard to bring people to High Springs during these difficult economic times.

High Springs Farmers' Market is situated in a lovely, pedestrian-friendly area, selling fresh produce, flowers, crafts, plants, fish--a veritable treasure of local market wares. In addition, after shopping, art galleries are there for browsing and buying, along with a few excellent food places.

I like to eat locally: under my own tree, backyard garden, and my local farmers' produce. So, so much better than the food from South America. High Springs Farmers' Market is perfect to sell produce to and to purchase from great vegetables, dairy, and plants.

I love and appreciate a small town farmers market. There is a bread guy that sells his wifes homemade breads, mmmmm, delicious. Also, I have found fruit plant guys very reasonably priced and willing to share their knowledge and advice for a successful harvest. I have tried to raise a fig tree 3 times from store bought trees, all died. This year I though I would give it one last shot and tried one of the guys at the High Springs Farmers market. Not only has my fig tree survive much longer then any of the others but it is flourishing along with the other fruit trees I bought that day, a mulberry, 3 blueberry and a guava. :-) Great guys, great advise, great produce, plants and down home welcoming atmosphere.

I have lived in High Springs since childhood. I love the town and the community. The Farmers Market is not only a wonderful way to support that community but to also see old friends and meet new ones. I enjoy buying fresh home grown veggies and fruit whenever I can. Especially if grown by a fellow neighbor.

It provides a local meeting place for neighbors to come together with local farmers to purchase fresh vegetables and fruit. I like the opportunity for local musicians and artists to have a place to go and show their talent. It makes for nice afternoon visit.

It's a GREAT group of farmers who regularly bring their produce to our market. The market is well organized and has a new market manager that is keeping it organized and growing the market and adding fresh ideas. The farmer's market is a nice complement to our great small town.

All the vendors are so helpful, if they don't have something they will bring it the following week or let me know where to get it. I am so proud of our community and the wonderful people we have here to make this such a succesfull farmers market.

The High Springs Farmers Market on Thursdays is where everyone comes to buy fresh local produce, catch up on the news in town and see their neighbors. I believe this market is important, not only to the Farmers who sell their produce and plants, but to the City, the residents and the downtown merchants. Visitors plan their days around the Thursday market. The market also includes music and other entertainment, tastings sponsored by local restaurants and annual festivals and other events.

I love being able to buy beautiful produce and support local farmers. Because we're a small market, everyone knows each other and is friendly. Besides, we are the only farmers' market in FL with a credit card machine, so people can get tokens to spend at the market using their EBT, debit, or credit card.

I support High Springs because it's not very big and the farmers here need everybody's support more than the other big markets do. The bigger markets located further away are doing much better as they have a larger population of people. I don't want the farmers and the people of High Springs to get discouraged and never come back to this market. Most people in this town are feeling the recession and can't afford to drive far for the farmers products. We need to motivate each other during these hard times. Maybe we can get some of the organic farmers in here too if it keeps growing. We have a pretty nice looking market that sits around the perimeter of the sink hole in the park right off the main street. It's the perfect place with plenty of free parking. Also, we have music playing during the market hours and the walk ways are nice and shaded by the trees. I would hate to have to travel to another city just to get fresh produce grown right here. All of the farmers are so sweet and they are always giving samples of their vegetables and fruits. I think if we had more signs and stands that we could be a great market.
