My husband and I called and asked Cynthia Cook if we could pick her brain and check out CD&J Mini Ranch. We are very conscientious about where to buy local eggs, beef, and pork since moving to the Rio Grande Valley. Cynthia was more than welcoming and even gave us tips on starting a vegetable garden and what livestock would be best to start with if we wanted to start our own ranch; she is an educator at heart and her passion really shows! I was really impressed with the set-up of her pens and how clean they were. You can't beat the fresh eggs.

I purchased some ribeye steaks and some pork sausage and let me just say the steaks were the best steaks I have ever had, tender meat and overall perfect quality. The pork sausage was also fantastic especially with the farm fresh eggs I purchased! Thank you CD&J!
