We signed up for our first CSA with Earthlands Farm during the pandemic in 2020. In addition to the questionable produce we bought at our local grocery store, we were also wary of the number of people touching our vegetables in high traffic stores. We loved the idea of a weekly CSA from a local farm that had nutrient dense veggies and produce that didnt change many hands. We found Earthlands which is not far from us in Lexington. Not only was their produce delicious and incredibly fresh, but we also got an opportunity to bring our kids to the farm for a volunteer day to help harvest food for a local soup kitchen! They took time to educate us on sustainable farming practices and taught us how we can grow food in our own backyard. It was a great learning experience for all of us, and we got to help local families in need - and we brought home an incredible box of veggies we had fun harvesting.
