This is the farmers market of all farmers market. I was brought here when I was a little girl and the farmers let you get a taste of the produce. Now I am a grandmother and the farmers still let my grandchildren taste the produce. The other farmers markets in the atlanta area are glorified warehouse produce section of a grocery store. They are not a farmers market

In addition to the prices and selection, I just love the hussle and bussle old time atmosphere at my farmer's market. It's not just bargain shopping - it's an adventure

I am alkways able to find a good selection that is fresh. I may go with one thing in mind and come home with a basketful like I did this last weekend.

The prices at the State Farmer's Market are much cheaper than at the grocery store. There is also more of a variety of fruits and vegetables from other countries than you'd find in your local supermarket as well. It also ensures that the produce you're buying has a higher chance of coming from an area closer to home, than from across the country.
